Daly’s Bridge
May 22, 2020 1:53 pm Leave your thoughtsDaly’s Bridge, known locally as ‘The Shakey Bridge’ underwent refurbishment works to both the bridge and tower support structures. Keating Construction (formerly LM Keating) were conducting the work on site. Keating’s brought us at AB Access Scaffolding in to provide access/working/weathering scaffolds structures for the project. We were required to provide perimeter tower scaffolds to both support towers to allow for cleaning, repair and repainting works on-site, along with lifting beam design allowances for the removal of the cable supports spanning between towers during the initial phase of the works.
The nature of the site conditions meant that safety both for operatives and the eco-system present was essential, and we at AB Access were keen to put our expertise into practice once again in this regard. A continued site presence was required throughout the works in order to alter the scaffold when and where required in order to maintain schedules on the project. Yet another historic Cork structure that AB Access Scaffolding Ltd are proud to have an association with.
